A respected regional law firm is seeking a Junior Solicitor with experience in private family law to join its growing Family & Matrimonial team in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-net-worth and complex family matters while developing your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting senior fee earners on high-value and sensitive family law cases
- Managing your own caseload of private family matters
- Advising on divorce, financial remedies, and private children issues
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Attending client meetings and court hearings
- Contributing to the team’s growth and reputation
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 1-3 years PQE in private family law
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Ability to manage matters independently and as part of a team
- Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
- Commitment to professional development and team success
