Overview
A client of mine is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee a flagship pair of landmark downtown Los Angeles restaurants and event-driven properties known for elevated dining, architectural significance, and high-touch hospitality. This role leads all operational performance, team development, and guest experience across both venues.

The Role

  • Oversee day-to-day operations for multi-concept restaurant and event spaces
  • Lead and develop management teams, driving culture, accountability, and training
  • Ensure service standards, guest experience, and brand consistency across all programs
  • Manage P&Ls, budgets, forecasting, labor oversight, and financial performance
  • Partner on hiring, development, and HR processes
  • Oversee scheduling, payroll, inventory controls, compliance, and administrative systems
  • Support large-scale private events, weddings, and special programming from planning through execution
  • Collaborate with culinary, beverage, and events leadership to elevate offerings and maintain excellence

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of senior leadership in upscale dining, multi-outlet operations, or high-volume event-driven venues
  • Strong financial acumen and operational systems experience
  • Proven success leading and developing teams in fast-paced, high-touch environments
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and manage across multiple spaces
