Global Medics is partnering with the Mid-Coast Local Health District to recruit a Consultant Child and Adolescent Community Psychiatrist for a permanent position.

The key responsibilities for the role:
- Leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist psychiatric services to patients
- Promotes patient safety and quality of care. Provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers
- Works within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the LHD
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Coming from the UK - Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), awarded under any RCPsych curriculum from August 2007 to date following satisfactory completion of a General Medical Council or Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board approved specialty training program in psychiatry in the United Kingdom.
- Other Countries – Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent. Holds a substantially comparable outcome of RANZCA assessment.
- Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in Adult Mental Health
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively as part of multi-disciplinary team
