Associate – Private Funds – Bristol – 2-5 Years PQE
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (hybrid working, minimum three days in-office)
Salary: £75,000 to £105,000 (plus bonus and comprehensive benefits package)
A leading international law firm is seeking a Private Funds Associate with 2-5 years’ post qualification experience to join its market leading Private Funds team in Bristol. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a top-ranked practice advising on the full lifecycle of private investment funds across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, Europe, and Cayman. You will join a collaborative, high-performing environment with access to high-quality work and global expertise.
The Role
You’ll be involved in a broad range of private funds matters, including:
- Structuring, documenting, and launching private equity, credit, infrastructure, real estate, and venture capital funds
- Drafting and negotiating LPAs, IMAs, side letters, and other key fund documentation
- Supporting bespoke structures such as funds of one and parallel vehicles
- Assisting with cross border fund registrations and offshore structures
- Working closely with colleagues across fund finance, tax, ESG, and transactional teams
- Building strong relationships with fund managers, institutional investors, and other stakeholders
- Contributing to a collaborative, commercially focused team culture
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 2-5 years’ PQE in private funds or fund formation
- Strong drafting and negotiation experience with fund documentation
- Exposure to cross border structures and offshore jurisdictions (desirable)
- Familiarity with secondaries transactions and portfolio sales (advantageous)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, organised, and commercially minded approach
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage matters independently
- Strong interest in working with fund managers and institutional investors
