A well-regarded law firm is seeking an Associate Solicitor with 2-6 years’ post-qualification experience to join its growing Family & Matrimonial team in Newport. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing department known for its client care, collaborative ethos, and complex casework.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of family and matrimonial matters, including:
- Divorce and separation proceedings
- Financial remedy and asset division
- Private law children matters
- Cohabitation and prenuptial agreements
- Domestic abuse and injunction applications
- Supporting Partners and junior team members
- Ensuring high standards of client service and compliance
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 2-6 years PQE in family and matrimonial law
- A strong understanding of relevant legislation and case law
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Confidence in managing cases independently
- A collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork
- High attention to detail and professional integrity
- Familiarity with legal case management systems
