A leading regional law firm is seeking a Commercial Property Lawyer to join its highly regarded team in Taunton. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Associate with 2-5 years’ PQE to work on a varied and high-quality caseload, including commercial leases, development projects, and a growing renewables portfolio.

The role offers a strong platform for career development within a supportive and collaborative environment, with the opportunity to contribute to the firm’s strategic growth and business development initiatives.

The Role

  • You will manage a broad caseload of commercial property matters and play an active role in client engagement, business development, and mentoring junior colleagues. The team is known for its expertise in both commercial and rural property, and experience in agricultural matters would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a wide range of commercial property transactions including sales, acquisitions, leases, development, and investment work
  • Manage transactions from instruction to completion with commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documentation
  • Provide clear, practical advice to clients on all aspects of commercial property law
  • Build and maintain strong client and professional relationships
  • Participate in networking and business development activities
  • Support and mentor junior team members
  • Contribute to the continued success and growth of the department

About You
We’re looking for a qualified legal professional who:

  • Has 2-5 years’ PQE in commercial property (guideline only)
  • Demonstrates strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen
  • Is proactive, enthusiastic, and client-focused
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Brings either an interest in or experience with agricultural property work
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative and supportive team environment
