Overview
A client of mine is hiring a Director of Operations to oversee a trio of high-end, concept-driven restaurants in Los Angeles. This role leads all operations, service standards, and team performance while partnering closely with ownership and department heads.
The Role
- Lead and mentor management teams, driving culture, training, and performance
- Oversee daily operations, systems, compliance, and service execution
- Maintain strong floor presence and ensure guest experience aligns with each concept’s vision
- Manage P&Ls, labor, budgets, KPIs, and financial reporting
- Partner on hiring, employee relations, development, and HR protocols
- Oversee scheduling, payroll, inventory controls, and administrative systems
- Guide guest relations, VIP communication, and review platforms
- Support private-events strategy, sales, and on-site execution
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of senior leadership in fine dining or multi-unit operations
- Strong financial and operational management skills
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and emotional intelligence
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
