Overview

We are searching for a meticulous Finance Assistant to join our Accounting and Finance department in a medium sized public sector organisation, to start immediately on a 6 week contract with the opportunity to go permanent. This role is based in Warrington and requires a candidate with a keen eye for detail and a passion for financial accuracy.

Our client is a well-respected trust operating within the Not For Profit sector. They are a medium-sized organization with a strong emphasis on supporting the community in Warrington. Their mission is to provide high-quality education and services to the local population.

Description

  • Handle financial transactions and reports efficiently and accurately.
  • Support the finance team in daily tasks including data entry.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of budgets.
  • Maintain records of invoices, payments and transactions.
  • Review financial documents, invoices and contracts.
  • Ensure all financial operations comply with regulations and law.
  • Assist in presenting financial data to managers.
  • Participate in financial audits and implement audit recommendations.

Profile

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

  • A strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to the Not For Profit sector and the goals of the trust.

Job Offer

  • £27,800 annual salary pro-rata.
  • 30 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays.
  • A part-time position with 14 hours per week.
