Private Wealth Disputes Associate/ Senior Associate
Our longstanding and highly regarded client is seeking a motivated and experienced Private Wealth Disputes Associate/Senior Associate to join their dynamic team in London. As a key member of the Private Wealth Practice, you will have the opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and private equity firms, handling complex disputes and providing exceptional legal counsel.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of private wealth disputes, including trust and estate litigation, asset recovery, and contentious probate matters
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and advise clients on dispute resolution strategies
- Collaborate with partners and senior team members on high-value and cross-border matters
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing tailored legal advice and guidance
- Contribute to business development activities, including participating in client pitches and industry events
Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with 3-6 years of post-qualification experience in private practice, specialising in private wealth disputes
- Experience of Inheritance act claims
- Experience of both onshore and ofshore trust disputes, equitable claims and Court of Protection disputes
- Strong knowledge of private equity transactions and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by high-net-worth individuals and family offices
- Excellent advocacy and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successfully resolving complex disputes
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, demonstrating initiative and strong communication skills
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the firm and the legal profession
As a Private Wealth Disputes Associate/Senior Associate, you will spend your days researching legal precedents, drafting legal documents, and engaging with clients to provide tailored advice and support. You will collaborate closely with partners and senior team members, participate in client meetings, and contribute to the growth of our Private Wealth Practice through business development initiatives. Your work will be diverse, challenging, and rewarding, offering opportunities to further develop your legal expertise and make a meaningful impact in the field of private wealth disputes.
