Overview
Leading national firm seeks a solicitor to join their busy corporate department and deal with a broad range of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures and corporate governance.
Responsibilities
- Working with colleagues locally and nationally for a wide range of clients including public and private UK and International companies and their owners
- Dealing with mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt funding and general corporate structuring work
- Mentoring junior members of the team whilst working closely with the Birmingham partner on strategic initiatives and thought leadership
- Involvement in business development activities, building client relationships and helping to grow the practice
About you
- 5 years’+ PQE in corporate law
- You will have played a lead role in some transactions and acted as the principal assistant on other more complex ones
- Solid foundation in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. A working knowledge of debt finance would also be useful
- Beyond your technical skills, you will have strong client management skills and an interest in business development
- You will also be a genuine team player, looking to support others and share ideas and opportunities for the benefit of the team as a whole
- Sector experience in healthcare would be beneficial but not essential

Salary: £70000 – £90000 per annum
